"Get Smart" is a 1995 American spy comedy film directed by Peter Segal, and starring Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, and Alan Arkin. It is a reimagining of the classic 1960s television series of the same name, which was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry. The film follows bumbling spy Maxwell Smart as he teams up with his capable partner Agent 99 to thwart a terrorist organization's plan to take over the world. It was released on June 20, 2008, received mixed reviews from critics, and grossed over $230 million worldwide. A sequel, "Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control," was released straight to DVD in 2008.
